Appraisal Review Specialist
Location: Dallas Metroplex (Richardson) or Burbank, CA Preferred (remote/hybrid option)

Job Overview: Responsible for coordinating and conducting the audits of auto, truck, motorcycle, RV, and watercraft material damage estimates to identify and verify the quality of files and compliance with client guidelines. Present findings to the handling vendor or franchise owner for correction and monitor the correction log until completion.
Assist in the development and implementation of action plans for the Appraisal Review Specialist's designated territory of network vendors and franchise owners to continually improve the quality of appraisal files.
This position reports to the Regional Director.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain complete knowledge and comply with company policies and procedures
- Report for duty punctually and adhere to company standards of grooming and performance
- Complete all assigned quality control file audits daily
- Revise estimates/files as necessary
- Assist with writing damage estimates as assigned
- Manage escalated issues within designated territory from clients, internal staff, appraisal vendor network, and franchises
- Train new appraisal vendors within assigned territory
- Act as mentor for new appraisal vendors within assigned territory
- Assist with monitoring of new appraisal vendors’ performance, including volume, cycle time, and appraisal quality for early intervention opportunities to improve performance
- Validate all appraisal files meet state regulatory standards
- Assist with Identification of claim handling and monitoring tools to ensure the consistent quality of the claim products
- Identify training needs for designated territory vendors and/or franchises in core technical appraisal file handling skills
- Develop performance improvement plan for said vendors and/or franchises
- Manage rollout of improvement plan, including discussion with vendor and/or franchise and monitoring of progress
- Ensure that all vendors and/or franchises within the designated territory are aware of and adhere to all state statutes and regulatory matters
- Coordinate and conduct evaluations and re-audits to verify the quality of the appraisal file product
- All other duties as assigned by management
- Travel may be required for catastrophe events, client meetings, field network meetings, and/or home office meetings
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Display a competent level of computer literacy. PC and Windows a must
- Knowledge of Auto Physical Damage claims processes
- Must type 40+ words per minute
- 3-5 years Auto Physical Damage estimating experience
- Heavy truck, heavy equipment, and exotic vehicle experience a plus but not required
- Strong understanding of appraisal estimating software such as Audatex, Mitchell, and CCC
- Strong understanding of total loss valuation products such as Audatex, Mitchell, and CCC
- Strong technical aptitude in regard to software applications such as the Microsoft Office Suite
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule as needed Tuesday-Saturday or Sunday-Thursday
- Must be able to work Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday in office as hybrid schedule
- Must be able to train Monday through Friday in office, approximately 6 weeks
